Apr 2011: This year
looks to be hugely exciting for Under the Spotlight with; more new
countries (such as Latinamerica) joining the program, nine
countries entering their second year and three pilot countries and
the International team initiating their 3rd year on Under the
Spotlight.
2011 will aim to focus on the 'secondary impacts' of the disease;
referring to the effect that psoriasis can have on the relatives of
people suffering with the disease and society as a whole. This
compliments the theme for World Psoriasis Day 2011: 'Let's talk
about psoriasis - and take action', which aims to; encourage people
with psoriasis across the globe to talk openly about their disease
- not to suffer in silence - and help eliminate ignorance and
discrimination.
